You Still Have a Future

It’s almost annoying when you start to hear “older” people talk about how they wish they had done this or that… and they’re 40 years old. In this day and age, they might still have 50 years of life left, and 30 of those years could still potentially be spent pursuing their careers. But to hear them talk, you would think they were at death’s door. Unless you have ALS or something, you most likely have a very long time in which to make your mark on the world- so stop whining about what you should’ve, could’ve and would’ve done- and remember that as long as you’re still alive, you still have an indefinite period to actually do something.

Really, it’s almost enough to make a person’s blood boil when someone acts like they’re a geriatric who can do nothing more strenuous than sway their rocking chair. And they’re in their late 20s or early 30s. Considering the fact that some unfortunates do not even get to live that long, to hear this self absorbed whining is despicable. They have a future, and to pretend that they don’t is to deny that they have any power to change their own lives. Even if they don’t feel comfortable going to a traditional class room, they can still do plenty of school work online.

As a matter of fact, a lot of school curricula don’t even require a person to set foot into a classroom anymore. If you want to get some more education under your belt, but you just can not abide going back to school, you have options in the online realm. They actually have classes where you simply work at your own pace, and have regular virtual access to your professor. You can even work in groups on certain assignments, and get the benefits of working with hungry individuals from all around the world. Just because it has been awhile is not an excuse.
