Special Events and Activities [top]
      Several special events and activities will take place during the 2003 Institute. To learn more about these events, inclucing: Directors' Day, NAF Newcomers Orientation, Year of Planning Activities, and Youth Day, please read the information provided below.
 
Directors' Day  [ Download Now ] [top]
      Directors' Day will be held on Wednesday, July 9th.  All Academy directors (or their designee) are expected to attend. Please download the attached information sheet for more information about Directors' Day.
 
NAF Newcomers: New People, Old Programs  [ Download Now ] [top]
      NAF Newcomers Orientation will be held on Wednesday, July 9th, from 9:00am -- 5:00pm. It is designed to familiarize new Academy team members who have recently joined existing NAF academies with the major elements of the NAF model and the local Academy structure. For more information please download the attached agenda. This event is not appropriate for members of new Academy programs or Year of Planning sites. 
 
Activities for Year of Planning Sites  [ Download Now ] [top]
      NAF is developing several activities specifically for Year of Planning sites who will be accepting students in Fall, 2004.  Please download the attached agenda for more information.  
 
Saturday Youth Day  [ Download Now ] [top]
     

Many of the activities scheduled on Saturday, July 12th will all focus on Academy student and alumni issues.  Activities will include: a Youth Voices Breakfast, student and alumni focused workshop sessions, and student demonstration projects. Explanation of Institute Tracks [top]
     

NAF has organized Institute program offerings around a series of tracks based on Academy role.  Please check back in a late May for more information about programming for each of the Instiute tracks below:
